Mindfulness for families is an exploration of how our thoughts, feelings, and actions work together to form our experiences. Through this practice, children become more self-aware, optimistic, and compassionate while also becoming less angry, frustrated, and sad.
Mindfulness teaches how to be present in the moment so that we may be thoughtful, purposeful, and curious individuals. It is a lifelong skillset that welcomes students of all ages, experiences, & abilities to learn how to be more mindful.
Together, we will cover the foundation of mindfulness, its positive effects on the brain and body, and how we can use it to keep calm and clear-headed when dealing with our thoughts, feelings, and actions.
Children will be invited to attend a kids-only session full of exercises, activities, and games that focus on being mindful. Meanwhile, parents will learn more about the importance of mindfulness in childhood development and how to foster this skill in their children and themselves.
