Ballentine Farm offers several programs to help girl scouts fulfill the necessary requirements to receive a badge.  Events will be schedule according to the need of individual troops. Please contact us with any questions or concerns.

Outdoor Fun

During this four hour activity the following topics will be addressed:

 - Outdoor Emergencies

 - First Aid Kit

 - Tied Up in Knots

 - Building a Fire

 - Eating Out

 - Sing Around the Campfire

 - Protect the Environment

Upon completion of this course the scout will be eligible to receive their Outdoor Fun badge.

Outdoor Creativity

During this 3 hour activity the following topics will be addressed:

 - Many Ways to be Creative

 - Nature in Three Lines

 - Capture a Piece of Nature

 - Celebrate Nature

 - Your Own Garden

 - A Garden Tour

Upon completion of this course the scout will be eligible to receive their Outdoor Creativity badge.

Horse Fan

This is a two session course which will be held during consecutive weeks.  Each week will consist of a 2.5 hours of instruction,  with a project to be completed at home between the first and second week.  During this course the following topics will be discussed:

 - Caring for Horses

 - Ease with Equipment

 - On the Trail

 - Fashion and Function

 - Make a Career of Riding

 - Showing Off

Upon completion of this course the scout will be eligible to receive their Horse Fan badge.

Horse Rider

This is a very intense beginning riding course which consists of eight, two hour riding sessions.  This course may be taken in a small group or on an individual basis.  The following topics will be addressed:

 - Get Ready to Ride

 - Equipment Expert

 - Clips, Combs and More

 - Horse Anatomy

 - In Good Form

 - Perfect Your Form

Upon successful completion of this course the scout will be eligible for the Horse Rider badge.
